Newly Single Robin

I believe his mate was the Robin that flew into Dad's conservatory window and broke his neck the other day, since when this one has been calling vigorously on this same high spot every morning. So today grabbed the camera for a quick snap.
A few hours after the 'incident' all that was left on the lawn where the dead Robin lay was a patch of feathers - a meal for someone..

That's a wonderful shot! I used have the problem with birds flying into the window, but no fatalities fortunately. I started putting post-it notes in strategic locations, and that has greatly reduced the collisions.
