Yes, crop the lower third and you have a nice shot. I kept looking at your photo thinking something looks familiar. Then it hit me. I grew up here.

well, folks, cropping was tried. it caused the image to lose the sense of... depth, or how big the scene is.

Would you mind posting the original shot, I am curious what you started out with.

If it were mine, I'd much rather crop in from above than from below, to keep the distorted reflections intact, and to lose some of the all black sky, as that offers nothing.

AND I'd go back to before you added all that dust to the sky. What you want to pass off as stars doesn't look like stars at all. It looks terribly fake and --- well: like dust.
