Nikon 16-85mm?

Is the nikin 16-85mm good for a "general" lens
The only lens I currently have is a Nikon 50mm 1.8, and need a another general lens

18-200mm?
16-85mm?
something else?

just another walk around lens

For the $, yes very good. Have more to spend? get a 17-55

I think it is great lens. I love mine. For my needs its perfect. The 16mm decently wide. I personally don't care to have the 200mm zoom.

The 16-85 is a gem. It performs well above its price.
