Hi there,

What is the better lens for studio, is the 70-200mm is working well ? or the 14-24mm the wide angle lens is better. i wanna shoot people and anything with it.

So, I think the 70-200mm is just for outdoor like wedding.

I already have:
50mm 1.8 and 18-200mm. I'm looking for a new lens is better than them.

Thank you.

They're both outstanding lenses, but for very different purposes. I wouldn't normally use either one in a studio setting though. If you want a fast zoom for studio work, I would go with the 24-70, but would prefer 85 1.4 and 105. f2 instead.

A prime like the 85 is what I would use if I had a studio. Not sure if you have a studio or how much room you have, but keep your crop sensor in mind when choosing a lens.

That 70-200 will cover the popular portrait focal lengths: 85 mm 105 mm and 135 mm. Of the two lenses you mentioned the tele zoom would be more useful for portraits than the wide zoom. However, portraits can be done with any focal length, there is no rule. It's all about your personal style. Furthermore, don't get too hung up with large apertures, portraits are seldom done at f/1.4.

PS: you already have two capable portrait lenses: your 50mm and your 105mm. (The 105 might be a little too sharp for portraits of ladies!)

I've never heard anyone complain about a lens being too sharp -.-

I would go with the 70-200mm if you want to do portraits. It serve for other purpose including doing wedding, outdoor portraits, when you need tele-zoom and etc. Wide angle is good for landscape and wide shots at the wedding. Since you're doing portraits, might as well get the 70-200 for multi-purpose that will also be useful when you go into FF portraits.
