Hi all,

I have just upgraded to a Nikon D7100 and got a 3rd party grip. It works and looks amazing. My only issue is the slight wiggle where it mounts to the body. Is this the same for a OEW grip from Nikon?

Thx,

A lot of 3rd-party grip owners take paper or cardboard and make small shims to reduce the wiggles.

No wiggle whatsoever on mine. Solid as a rock.

You could probably build up the edge slightly with a couple of thin strips of electrical tape around the edge. Scotch Super 33+ is highly recommended.

Although SS 33+ is good stuff, over time it can get gooey and sticky, especially when subjected to high heat (like left in the car in the summer). If you use it, plan on replacing it on regular intervals.
