Hi. I recently bought a Nikon Coolpix S9600 digital camera. I have not taken many pictures with it yet. So far so good. But last night while I was behind my desk I noticed that if I point my camera near my desk lamp I get some kind of purple flare. I first thought it was maybe from dust/prints so I cleaned the lens but the flare persisted. I am guessing its from the light being refracted from the lenses on its way down to the sensor. It kind of has similarities with the iPhone purple flare. I just want to make sure and ask you guys for your opinion. Should i be concerned about it? Is it a fault in the lens? What do you guys think and how would you act. I guess I am just a bit paranoid since the camera is brand new .
Thanks for your help.
