nikon d40 blur

for some reason it will be shooting perfectly fine, and then suddenly the images will start appearing extremely blurry, this will keep going back and forth for awhile until i get so frusterated i just put it away. any suggestions?

Can you give us more information?

There are several reasons why photos would be blurry...and most likely it not the camera.

i just got this camera a few days ago, so i assumed this was just me messing with the settings, but even after i reset them it still continues to do this.

it will shoot a few photos beautifully, and then after that (even when i don't touch the settings), it begins taking extremely blurry photos. occasionally this stops when i change lenses.

It would really help if you showed us the images and gave us the settings you used. The aperture and shutter speed, for example.
