Personally I like the feel of the lower end Nikons better than the lower end Canons. It's really surprising that almost all of the specs are practically identical. I'd do the same thing that I did when I bought my d40; go feel each one and play with them at Circuit City. They should have both of them. Buy the one that is most comfortable to you, including feel and navigation.

Here we cant feel and try the piece as the cam's are all sealed.. and we arent allowed to open them.. So I need some serious advice..

Only $100 more...from the sounds of the XSi, it's well worth it.
