Nikon D600 Wireless Shutter Release in CH (Burst) Mode?

I recently purchased a D600 and noticed my wireless shutter release only works when the dial is set to the remote symbol. On my D7100 I can use the wireless shutter release in any mode (including CH) as long as I select the remote release in the menu.

Is it true that the D600 will only work when the dial is set on the remote symbol? I hate having to change the dial and would prefer it to work like my D7100. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I use mine in burst mode often with a remote. Sometimes I have to switch to CL or S else my studio lights can't recycle in time.

if youre using an IR remote, then it probably only works in "remote" mode.

I'm guessing if your use the InfraRed (the littlethumb sized remote) or the wired remote that you have to be in the "remote" mode. I have both of those that I could test it too.

I also have a third party radio trigger which can do CH as the camera is not put in "remote" mode.
