Nikon D7000 and Nikon D70 comparison pics - Ducati motorcycle

Just wanted to share a little comparison between my two cameras. Pictures were taken seven years apart, with no further enhancements.

Very noticeable difference but it looks like different focal length, f-stop, and shutter speed. I recently did a comparison too, between the D80 and D7000 though.

as well as different lenses, different location, lighting etc. While I'm sure there is a dramatic difference bewteen the two, especially at higher ISOs, these particular images aren't really a valid comparison of the two camera's abilities.

I agree. There are too many variables that are different. The photos from the D7000 have a more flattering light, because it's lower in the sky.

I would think that if one was going to do a comparision, that it should be taken with the exact same set up and the photos should be SOC with NO PP.

Not a fair comparison of cameras, IMO since you've changed the composition and the exposure triangle as well as the lens between the two shoots.

With good lighting and a decent lens, one would be hard pressed to tell the difference between a D70 and a D7000 when looking at photos on an internet forum.

In the last shot the D7000 missed detail on the rear tire,,,,it looks bald to me....lol

I'm wanting to take it somewhere and get some good shots of the rolling chassis+engine before I put everything back on it just cause I think it would be interesting

Looks like two different locations...two different times of day. not a good comparison.
