Nikon F601

Hi ALL !!!
I have just bought an old Nikon f601 which was used by a local police force before changing to digital. I am not familiar with film cameras and wanted to know if i could use the lenses on a digital nikon body ( to be purchased " with your help " ).
The lenses that came with the camera are :- ( from smallest upward ) AF NIKKOR 35-70m/m ?
Vivitar 70-210m/m macro focusing zoom ?
Sirius 60-300m/m zoom macro ?
Tamron 500m/m tele macro ?

You can, but depending on the lens, there may be functional limitations (it may not meter, may not auto-focus, etc).

Thanks for your reply, and now my next question is :- If i were to by a new Nikon body to go with all these lenses, which one would you ( or anyone else out there )
recommend ? I will be using the camera for general purpose and maybe even a few friends wedding photographs.

I would recommend a camera with a built in focus motor. D70, D80, D90, D100, D200, D300, D7000, D700, D1, D2 & D3, and the variants of these.

Some of these you'll have to shop the pre-owned market and some others are a bit expensive. Determine what your budget is first and then go shopping.
