I wouldn't be surprised to see the 70-300VR, D600 and D800 sell out soon :)

I thought the 70-300 VR at $269 was also a good deal. I own one...it's the best 70-300 zoom Nikon has made, most people say. It's actually a decent lens, and is small enough,m and light enough not to be too much of a hassle on hikes and day trips and things like that. I've used mine for youth soccer, landscapes/scenics, portraiture, and just general "day at the beach" kind of photo outings where the size, weight, and focal length range + stabilization make it a good choice. It's small enough to fit into the water bottle slot of two of my fanny packs. It is a full-frame capable lens. I use it on the D3x, and it's decent on 24MP FX. Thom Hogan used to use the 70-300VR as part of his lightweight D3x kit; this is not like the old, early 2000's dogmeat G-series and pre-ED series 70-300 lenses.

Of course they are. lol Luckily, that will be about what I'll have technically paid for the D600 after I get my cashback reward.

Actually wow, fail math.. $100 fail. haha

Does anyone wanna buy a Fender Stratocaster?

I would really enjoy one of those 70-300's.

Yup.. the D800 is also now out of stock.

Which brings me to my next question:

Does anyone want to trade a 70-300 for a guitar? Seriously, name the guitar, I have like 2-3 of any kind you can think of.

wow, this is really tempting on that D600

Any chances the other vendors will get these prices? Id like to get a 1year warranty through Cameta or other vendors that have extended warranties on refurbished products.

I was so bummed, the better half, to my disbelief, actually gave me the go ahead to order the D800, and then they sold out... My dreams came true, and were crushed, all in the span of an hour...
