VR is for camera shake, it does nothing to stop action.

Just in case you didn't know that. Many people don't.

If that was in response to my response, then, yeah, that's what I was saying. I didn't mean to imply that it stopped action, just that helps if you can't hold the camera steady enough at 200-300mm.

VR in a big lens is VERY nice to stop camera shake though... Highly recommended.
