No AF?

I am looking into getting the Nikon D40. The stock lens doesn't have an AF feature? Is that true or am I just reading it wrong? Does anyone have stock photos from this camera with the stock lens that they could post to show me how they look? Thanks in advance.

the stock lens has autofocus

the d40 has no autofocus motor

you need to buy lenses with focus motors in them... type AFS...

nonAFS lenses will work too but you have to focus them yourself..
