I think there is much potential in the second image. Her hair, cascading down her face becomes a veil. If the background was darker, then the brightest points in the image would be the catchlights in her eyes, which would be pretty interesting. The other issue, is that your focus is on the hair in front of her face, and not on her eyes, which weakens the impact a lot. An important element in this image for me is the tangle of hair just above her forehead, with the reflected light allowing us to see the individual strands.

I think the strands of hair in front of her eyes are really too heavy and hurt the picture.
Her face looks much pinker than her torso to me; am I nuts?

no you are not nuts... its the skin whitening cream that she uses on her face... I love her natural colour but she wants to be lighter...

My wife who modeled, under sufferance, for me is Philippine, 90% of the philippine women (you should see tha tv ads pushing it here in the philippines) don't want to be tan which i think is crazy they have such beautiful tones

That they do! I know in old times, having fair skin was desired. It meant you were well-off and you didn't have to work outside. Being large instead of skinny was also looked upon favorably, because it meant you could afford a lot of food and you were healthy.

Nowadays the desired traits of most Americans is the complete opposite! Tan and skinny. I find that really interesting.

I hate it when models aren't sure, I know they have a opinion too, but like GAHHHH just let me make art... I think this would make a dope black n white, imo it just doesn't really work in color.
