No Wake Zone

I was trying to snap pictures of some birds fighting over a fish, but once they calmed down I took my sights to some landscapes.. Any ideas on how to enhance these in post would be greatly appreciated, as well as C&C. Thanks!

The no wake bouy doesn't grab immediate attention. I had to look at it several time sbefore I realized it was sittin gin a broken part of a frozen river. The background isn't doing anything to promote the scene and tends to overpower the emphasis of ice and bouy.
