This is really great! It's kind of like those optical illusions that makes you see the steps in two different ways. The leaf could be lying on the bottom step and you're looking up the stairs or the leaf is kind of stuck vertically on the...what's it called, the riser? and you're looking down the stairs. And the shadow is killer.

Thanks, Leonore! I hadn't seen the illusion until you pointed it out, I guess because I had fixed it to the reality of the steps as I saw them. Now, of course that will bother me whenever I look at it, but it's kind of fun, I think ...
