Northern Hawk Owl

It is rare to see a Northern Hawk Owl as far south as Lake Ontario but on Tuesday I was graced with the sights of one. It has been around for two weeks now and may stay for a few months if I’m lucky.

Not a bad catch for a few hours in the cold weather.

Oh Airic, what a find!! And what incredible shots. It's a good little hunter, it seems. And those intense eyes are freaky. My faves of this series are 3, 4, 8 and 10. Can't get enough of those staring eyes.
