Ok the northern shrike will eat mice and other smaller birds it is only a little smaller then a blue jay and they sometimes catch prey and have a pre sharpened stick that with it still alive stab it onto the stick and leave it there or they will kill it and spike it to keep there for later they Will sit on wires they will use barbed wire fence to spike them
