Ear plugs and ear defenders on when in the engine testing bay - nothing loose carried in, glasses in pocket and the wind and suction amazing especially when the afterburner is on. I am fortunate in being an Honorary Commander on the Bases in East Anglis, so can go on with camera without being shot. The last week, along as these I was taking pictures for the folk being promoted and a service at the Defenders (UAF Police) Memorial for them. When the F35s visited, I was allowed to photograph and stroke one - look like they came from Star Wars!

Over the last few years I have had four sessions on the F15C and F15E flight simulator - the BIG BOYS video game!
