After getting some additional fonts I've been playing around with some logo ideas.

I kinda like this one - for videos. If I could figure a way to animate the smoke ............
The smoke is from a Brush collection I got several months ago.
The vector graphic was an attribution-not-required freebie that I tweaked a little - color and exposure wise.
Studio 101 is the font Black Jack. Image Works is the font Neuropol. Image Works has a subtle layer style Outer Glow whose color is the same as the sky in the factory vector graphic. The outer glow also has a neutral density gradient applied to it at 35% opacity.

It looks cool as is.

One problem with logos is what they will be used on.

• Some logos look great, until you shrink them down to fit on a business card. Then the details merge to look like a blob.
  • In your case, how would the industrial plant look when scale down in size?
    
  • It actually held up fairly well, when I played with it.
• The other issue is background color. How would the logo look as a letterhead?
