How was the music?

The jazz was . . . a little repetitive and a little too loud at times, and it was hard to find the melody lines in the original tunes. But this is just a reflection of my taste. Every. musician on stage was top notch, particularly the "sidemen," with the drummer being outstanding throughout the evening. And it was so nice hearing live jazz outdoors as the sun set . . .
