Looks like a nice place for a walk. I think you just need something of interest in it to make it pop.
Sunrise/sunset, thunder clouds, flock of birds?
Doesn't suck, keep at it.
We've all been at this stage.

Agreed, it's a nice image but could use a little something. Maybe just a little more light would bring out some of the colors in the trees, etc. to liven it up a tad.
