Objects shift shape in photo

Hi. Is it possible for an earing to change shape in a photo? If in 1 photo it is round in shape like a ball, can it then shift shape to look more like a flower, with straight lines and corners in 2 photo? Photo taken off same object, with same camera, supposedly not altered by photographer. Glenn

I think the perceived shape in the first is due to different shadows and reflections on the ball.
Note that if the dark areas on the second shot were as dark as the shadows behind her ear you would be seeing a different shape there also rather than the ball..
