Thanks guys. This really is a great place and it's pretty neat to witness in person. Like I said, it's a pretty terrible drive, but it's worth it.

Mole, where ya at? I live in East Kern County, so Death Valley is only about 2.5 hours away.

Sure, 395 to Olancha, 190 to Hunter Mountain rd, Hunter Mountain rd to Tea Kettle Junction, to racetrack (camp there two nights preferably) to lippencott rd to saline valley to southpass and back out at Hunter mt road. You have 4wd?

I saw the road that met up with Tea Kettle Junction. I'm guessing that's Hunter Mt. Rd? I'll keep this in mind, just for a different view. Thanks.
