Don't you hate when that happens?

Nikon SB-600 in 12x17 DIY Soft Box TTL via commander mode on D80. On-camera flash was blocked with an index card. Soft box is overhead and slightly camera right about 5' from subject.

Paper used to shade wall from flash to darken background.

I like the detailed description on how you achieved the shot, but if you had put half the effort of that shot into making sure you had TP you would not have had a problem
