Thanks! Ummm... venisonacon?Ok.. ya - beautiful shots, executed with extreme skill..
But seriously, no bacon? Egads.
That's a new one on me.... Thanks!Has that butter carton look. Good capture.
Thanks Barb!Fantastic shot John!
Pretty confident - I could probably have walked up and poked him in the snout if I wanted to!He's a pretty one.
Well... in the interests of full disclosure, Vancouver Island Mule Deer (a genetically distinct sub-species) are about as shy as a kick in the bollocks! Short of actually slapping him in the face, there's not much likely to scare him away, so you can definitely say, "unfair advantage".I've got some really crappy shots of a young buck standing (apparently scared & confused) in the Atlantic surf at Ocean City, MD a few years ago. He was there for several hours before he took off.
Ocean City is on a barrier island and pretty urban, so he either had to swim across the back bay or walked across the bridge.
Arrggh... hate it when that happens!I've had about 4 sightings of a pair of 8-point bucks in my backyard recently. Mostly they play fight, waiting I'm sure to figure out who gets the herd. The only things in my hands are a cuppa coffee and a cigarette. No images.
Well done with both, but the money shot is outstanding.
Thanks for sharing.
