Oil and water

So I tried something new to me tonight, oil and water. But I'm having trouble getting the air bubbles out. Any of you guys/gals do this sort of thing? Here's a sample of what I'm talking about taken with the following settings: Canon Rebel T5 18-55 kit lens f/5.6 1/60th ISO 400.

Well done oil and water shot. GREAT colors! Good shape pattern in this one too!

I kinda' think that the small bibbles are part of the charm of this type of photography.
 
Thanks :) The colors are a brightly colored butterfly refrigerator magnet about 8 inches below the pyrex glass baking dish I was using.
 
The bubbles add character to the image in my honest opinon.
