What's new

Ok, I will take the plunge, C&C's please

Like #4, Love #'s 5 & 7. I always like hdr, wether it's realistic looking or not. I think #3 is alittle to dark

Thank you. Although I didn't crop that one. It just how I took it so I can't uncrop. Thanks for the input

Ok... 3 it is:

What strikes me first it how the horizon line bisects the image pretty much right in the center... Not always a bad thing, but usually a poor compositional choice.

Then I find myself wondering what is the subject... the sky, the post... the stand of trees? Of the three, I find the sky most interesting. You did a fair job of preserving the detail in the clouds. Nice. But with that in mind, the post is doing nothing good, nor is the fence and much of the foreground.

If the post with it's sign is the subject, then (as mentioned above), we need a bit more exposure and sharpness. The brighter values of the sky pulls attention up and away from the subject. The overall lighting scheme is very flat, with the soft diffused light coming from behind. It's not directional enough to bring out the texture of the pasture. This soft lighting would be nice if it was coming in from one side to communicate the roundness and texture of the post.

So, all-in-all, it's a nice scene, but could use some stronger element(s) in the composition.

I hope this helps.
