My Dad, of blessed memory, used to own a piece of property in Western PA with this barn on it. This pic is fairly old, 2005, taken on a Sony DSC-P52. Here are several variations on the theme.

That brings back memories. My grandfather used to be a tobacco farmer in WV and he had a barn with "Mail Pouch" on it. I actually like the one in color the best. Nice job.

You still see some advertising on old barns here in Pa. I have always intended to make my brother in law a calendar of old barns from my area. Maybe this year will be the year.

Thanks! I like the color as well.

This one is/was located on 711 a few minutes north of Ligonier just past the golf course. Beautiful country.

    Thank you!

    I think.I would preferred the B & W without the strong vignette.

Number #1 is nice lovely pastels but i also would have referred the B&W minus the Vignette.

I can imagine that Barnwood Builders would be very interested in this spot.

    Thanks! Yes, the vignette detracts.

    Thanks! Yes, agree.

A couple of years after I took that pic, he paid a team of Amish barn builders come and renovate it. Unfortunately, I never got to go back and take a pic of the place, because he sold the property and moved to Ohio. The house is something too; it was built in the 1820's or 1830's and has a history of it's own. Unfortunately, I can't find any of the pics I took of it.

i think i've seen this from i-70 or i-76. if it's not the same one, then there's one just like it on the interstate in western pa on my way out west.
