Bracketing is just a nicer term for HDR isn't it?
I like this shot - it's calm and tranquil, and I wouldn't mind a pint at this pub on a warm day!
Great detail. Can I ask how many brackets. Interesting. Ed
I like the foreground interest, though the schmutz in the quiet water detracts just a bit. This looks like a "high noon" shot -- I've done the same thing when I'm out hiking somewhere and I can't come back at golden hour. I think the bracketing probably improved a lot on a single shot under those circumstances, but if you go there with any sort of regularity, I'd love to see the same shot closer to sunset.
Sorry, this one doesn't excite me. Something flat about it. Honestly, it doesn't really seem like one of yours. It feels less "high noon" to me and more like the weird light when a storm is coming. The relative brightness in the foreground doesn't really match the relative darkness of the skies.

Flat? Hmm, this didn't set my pants on fire either, but think of it more as a technical exercise than a piece of art.

A little performance art with your technical exercise?![]()

Yup, I like the conversion a lot better.
I like that quite a bit better. What do you think about cropping out a little bit of the fence shadow on the bottom & maybe smoothing over the crud on the bottom, which now looks like a school of dead fish. ;-)
I think that's getting to the point where it would probably look good hanging on the wall in said pub.
