The sunlight gives a lovely bit of glow to this image, which is very nice. I like it.

Where'd the shadows go? This looks tonemapped?

I see that it has blacks, but it "reads" as midtones on up, while the scene itself clearly contains shadows.

It's a nice interesting object, and a perfectly good record of it, but the post processing has done it, in my opinion, no particular favors.

I agree with amolitor. The subject is lost in a mess of tone mapped confusion.
I shouldn't have to work so hard to determine the subject of the photo.

I think the subject is cool but the photo itself is over-edited in my opinion.
