On the Mountain

So here's a few I took last night before sunset. Me and the kiddo (my best test subject) went up South Mountain to watch the sunset. I tried using my flash but I just couldn't get what I wanted out of it. My trigger is bad also so I couldn't keep it off camera to fill the way I wanted either. Tell me what you think.

i really liked this one but then i realized after i got home my dumb camera bag was still on the rock. :/

I'm not very good a critique, but I'll give it a go.

1. Could have used some fill as you said, and the hair straightened a bit. My old tired eyes first saw the rock as a weird skirt, and it never stopped being distraction.
2. A little fill again, camera left.
3. You're right, this could be a great photo if not for the camera bag. You may be able to clone it out, but there's no way to crop and keep the picture grounded. The light is good in this. Fun pic.
4. A desert sunset.
