After reading a thing about macro shots online, using water and an old CD I thought I would have a play, here are my pics:

My favourite of the day

And this was my first attempt which has nicer colours but the image quality wasnt as good.

I did a bit of noise reduction and gausian blur to the pics, that was about it though.

#2 and #3 for the win! Nice colors... wowzers! heck, #1 too... I don't care for #4... but it's still cool to look at!!

I love #4. I love the way the colors play up the droplet. Nice work!

Very nice. What setup were you using? My macro does not get that close.

Cool idea, I like all of them.

Its the Canon Powershot S3IS
Manual mode with Super macro turned on
Exposure 1/1000 because I have a VERY unsteady hand and I was too close to use a tripod
Aperture F2.7
And I was almost touching the water drop I was so close.

Thanks for all the comments, I love the rainbow colours that are created with this

Wow so very pretty!

I never knew I could go THAT up close with a Canon S3IS.

I'll have to try some close up shots on things now with super macro.

I have no idea how to use my manual mode yet lol.

Thanks again for the coments

Indieme, I love the bench pic on your flikr page, very nice

I keep finding more and more I can do with the S3, I just got to practice with the flash so I can take pictures later in the day with the sun isnt in the house.

Lovely inventive photos. Number 2 is stunning

Do you have a link for said tutorial?

These are nice!
I feel inclined to "steal your idea" :D
I like 3 and 4 best of the little series.
