Sorry - it sucks to not get any response.

I like it. It's simple, cohesive, composed well. If I were framing it, I personally would go with a different color than the beige you have around it now as a 'mat'. I would look for some complimentary but contrasting color, maybe a blue to bring out the water in the first and the tiny bits of dark blue stone in the third, and sort of tie them all together. Beige is already a dominant color in the photographs, so I'd go for anything that would highlight the accent colors in the rocks.

I specifically used beige to tie everything together. But after your explanation, I see things a little differently now, and like the idea of using blue instead.

I agree about the border, although I'd probably just go with a nice solid black myself.

As to content, this doesn't quite work for me and I stared at it a bit to see if I could identify what was bothering me. It seems to be that I'd like a much closer look than the lower frame provides. Obviously this is a matter of taste, but that's how it strikes me.

If I read this triptych from bellow I see what should be the bond but with that said I would like it if all shots were taken from the same spot.
You have different lighting in all of these f.e and you have more differences among them which bothers me to look at them as a part of one story.

The third one is sand with rocks, next one is sand, rocks and introducing water, I get it, the line of the water and sand is a diagonal and more pleasing then implied line in the first photo.
Composition in the first photo is not good for me an doesn't add to the triptych. I think it would be nicer if you composed like you did in the second photo.

Thanks for the reply.
Now that I look at it the way you say, I see what you mean. fFrame 2 and 3 are way too close in size, and don't give enough perspective difference.
I think I'm scrapping this triptych until the next time I get to a beach with shells.

In reality, these were really 3 different shot taken on the same day at the beach, I really did not plan it out as a triptych until after I started editing the shots. Then iI thought I had something I could work with.
It just goes to show that a lack of planning can really mess things up.
I see what you mean about them being different lighting, although I think it is more of a white balance issue. But that is what happens when you use auto white balance in these shots. Silly me.
I happen to like the composition in the first shot, but agree it would have been better slightly rotated to match the second for the purposes of this triptych.
As i mentioned above, I think it's time to scrap this particular triptych, and wait until I get the next opportunity at the beach.

Thanks for the C&C guys & gals. I looked at this and couldn't figure out one thing or another for a reply, so I didn't.
But I love the C&C as it makes me realize more about composition of not only the photo(s) but the border as well.

I haven't gotten beyond a single photo, much less 3, and a border for a complete composition !!
