I love using window light! It's possible to get's some really beautiful lighting even from a small window. I agree with Binga that the skin smoothing is a little heavy. In my opinion it's kind of distracting. I'm of the opinion that when it comes to the post production/retouching you get much better results with subtle edits, and to me the skin smoothing in these looks too obviously edited.
I do like the way you used the light though. It's nice and soft on your model and compliments her good features. In the second photo I feel that bringing up the temperature to match that of the first image would be a good idea. It's just a little too cool in my opinion.

Same shoot... Black and white edits... I've already noted the skin smoothing comments and will do some re-edits later to address those issues... Otherwise, how did I do?

Classic pose. But with a slight turn toward the camera and another slight dip of the left shoulder, the neck creases may not be so prevalent. Definitely enamoured with the light from your window, just don't be afraid to throw a white reflector opposite to soften the shadows slightly, in some cases.

Same shoot... Different pose... This was cropped a little bit too tight SOOC so I didn't bother with it at first... So now, I've done my edit, but went lighter on the skin smoothing... Set my phasers to 'stun' instead of 'kill' in that respect... Is there any noticeable improvement?

I did some tweaking before the skin smoothing... Contrast/shadow changes, eye detailing, vignette, etc... Would you like to see the photo SOOC?
