Photos NOT OK to edit
Last night before heading out wife's friend's graduation party, while we were waiting, thought I'd test more flash work. Bounced flash, no diffuser no fong. The stray hair bothers me. The white part might bother some people but I did that with the PP. Original is straight white. I guess I'm mostly looking for C&C for the flash work than anything else.

This is from FB upload, not my flickr acct.

It looks really nice. im sure if you had more time you would frame it better. I would fix some stray hair in Photoshop, and the skin looks a little too much retouched in PP, which couldnt be helped because SooC was a little hot because flash too strong or whatever. overall the end product is GOOD!

yeah was on the fly Koff. i wonder if it'd look better if i framed it straight than a slight tilt hmmm
Rausch, thanks!

I think the whites in her eyes in the First picture were made a little to bright. Other than that looks good.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the 'over softened' face photography. But if it's your style, go for it.

Stray hairs everywhere too. Looks kinda like you just snapped it with no thought, then tried to save it in PS. Sorry, just not feeling it (Judging harshly b/c I've seen how your thought out work comes out :) )

Hair is too messy to be serious.

Tillt is too strong. Rotate ~15-20° CW.

Post on the skin is OTT.

But are one lucky MF.

Thanks guys. Willis I see what you're saying.

Geaux, nothing was done to the hair in PP. I left it alone as it. See the SOOC and PP version, not touched. Right after I took the pic, I said "damnit, the hair! can u fix it?" and then the door bell rang and we were off to dinner. I figured I'll email it to SchwettyLens to have it fixed  Foo's been MIA all day. Probably sipping beer at home w/ the babies. I guess I'm only retard sitting at work!

Kundalini, thanks, I am indeed a lucky MOFO...momo...mf :sexywink: (noted on the image rotation) My wife never has to take those bad FB profile pix with her cell phone in front of the mirror again till the day I die :)

she has nice skin already. YOu made it worse. Plus there is a white thing sticking out of her head on the top

I don't mind skin softening myself, but I do think it's overdone IMO. I would also be tempted to remove that white spot on the top of her head. It keeps distracting me.

I'm assuming that white thing is her hair clip, but her skin is amazing without pp'ing in the edit she looks a tad photoshopped, especially the dints under her eyes, they are not bags, so I'd leave them alone, they are giving her eyes shape!
Gorgeous smile!

Sorry, I missed this part earlier. One word...... flat. Not good, not bad, just flat.

Yeah, here's an example, not sure if you can see of how wide the hallway is that she was standing in. I knew I'd have a heck of a time w/ flash here. Its about 4 ft wide I think? What do you suggest? I think maybe setting to manual mode instead of ettl and knocking the flash down?? I need to stop by the camera store and pick up some grids for my flash or just make a paper snoot for it. That'd give a cool light effect. Going to try it this weekend! :D

Oh yeah I know I went a little too much w/ the skin during PP please ignore. Just using it to reference the hallway.

I agree with others about the over-softening. Her face doesn't need much softening, but it's way too overdone in the final product.
