Do you mean close it a bit for bigger dof ?

Smaller aperture = more depth (f8-11)
Larger aperture = less depth (f2.8)

Is that Archie? I agree, a little more DoF in order to have his muzzle sharp would have made it stronger in my mind, but it's nice image regardless.

And have the rest blurred because it is only iso100 in dark conditions it was shot at 1/30
