Definitely not a disaster. I'm not a fan of the background, but it's a nice enough shot.

Hi, Michael. This is a good shot. The model's pose and the lighting are very good. I think if you were to clone out the dark post, the background would be fine. Also, lower the crop some to remove excess background from above her head.

I don't hate the background, but I think you could have used it differently; perhaps with her further away and a shallow DOF to slightly blur it out. I dig the rustic-ness of the fence. I would make sure that the background is balanced on the horizon line, the current opposing tilts of background-model create a kind of car sick feeling.

Aside from background issues (I have them too!), I think this is pretty solid.

I agree that for future shots, if you move your subject away from the background and use a shallow DOF it will soften it a bit. Also, whats with her eyebrows? (Nothing you could control, but just caught my eye).

I think you've missed focus on this.
Look at the shot at 100%, her eyes are OOF but some of her hair looks sharp.

I think what hurts this shot is the brightness and detail of the sky through the pickets.

A better background would help a lot I think.
