I found out a lot about Cody and his kites in the 70's when I developed a passion for building and flying them.
Cody was a good role model.
He believed that any kite who's smallest dimension was less than three feet wasn't worth building.
And he often built huge kites out of sheet metal.
He was also, I believe, instrumental in helping to set up the Royal Flying Corps (later the RAF).
Most of what comes out of the US the world could do without but Cody more than makes amends.
