Tell use why you took this shot

I found the old bottle in a gutted out barn and it had all sorts of stuff growing inside it. It kind of represents how some things have changed (gutted out barn) and how some have stayed the same (Pepsi). It's kind of a intermix between old and new.

I kinda like the image, but I got a different take from it.

I responded to how old the bottle is, and in it's setting, makes it like a new antique. I see how far we have come. Soda is all in plastic now. So, I sense a ghost town, and it's ancient artifacts. This makes me feel old, and I hate you for it. :greenpbl:

Also, soda is purported to be thirst quenching, and this image is dry and dusty.

I like the idea here, and got the same sort of sense from it that Bitter did (BTW, you are old!) but I think it could be even stronger with a slightly more even exposure, slight saturation boost, and most importantly, more of the barn/old building to help situate the viewer.

I get that too, i just couldnt put it into words

Screw you!

McCoy, do you have any other views of this, or do you feel this is the best of the bunch? Just curious is all.
Maybe some gritty processing...more contrast, sharpening?

I've got a few more, but most of them have the si of Pepsi turned too far to the right. My attention to detail wife pointed that out, so i took a few more with it corrected. I feel that this is the best of the bunch.

As far editing all I"ve done (i think) is straighten it. So if you have any suggestions (or even want to edit it yourself) lemme know what you think :)

I think it might be improved by turning the bottle a bit. Right now it looks too obviously posed. It would look better if it was in a more random position - as if someone had just set it down and gone outside to see what all the commotion was about.

If it were taken in the UK that bottle would probably be at least 20 years + old we have not had money back on return for years

I prefer to drink Coke in a glass bottle than the plastic! And you are not old my friend! I have 24 years old and I enjoyed these times also!

I have more that are more offcenter. This one was posed, obviously

Didn't click for me at all. *shrug*

Just a pic of an oldish bottle (and not extremely old at that... I'm guessing late 60s/early 70s)

It also felt too staged... how often do you find a bottle like that just standing upright on some railing or whatever, somewhere?
