Online Photo courses.

Get one or two books and practise whilst following them: John Hedgecoe The New Manual of Photography, Michael Freeman The Photographer's Eye are both excellent and very accessible.

If you want to really understand how cameras work and get a hang of the exposure triangle by setting everything yourself, I recommend you invest a small amount of money and some time in a mechanical, analogue SLR and a light meter.

Forums are not a great place to learn photography because you can't tell the bad advice from the good, and much if not most of it is bad. ....Learn the principles and then practice applying them. Once you have a foundation, then pay for more advanced training.

I learned all my basics on forums by posting images and getting critique. It wasn't until I knew what I was doing that I invested money on more advanced learning.
