For the record, I don't like it straight on. The angles convey the moment better, IMO...

I don't think my opinion should change your mind, but I wouldn't feel bad about the way you took it AT ALL! I like the first, landscape shot moreso than the portrait-style one.

No it doesn't work jimmey. I think the vertical one is far more youthful and playful. Take a photo like a photographer, not like an engineer
