A student of mine was at her grand-parents for Thanks-Giving in Baltimore.
She took this shot after I said to the group that I need a typical scene of the
event. I am not American and our Thanks Giving is different so I have to trust
her on the authenticity of the decor.

A national magazine called to see what I could bring up for the main article on
different national traditions of Thanks Giving celebrations in Europe and else-
where. I was assigned France, Belgium, Canada and the US.

Here is the link to the CR2 file she authorised me to use on this forum.

I think the ceramic pumpkins could be considered "typical", but placing them on the hearth rug is not something I've ever seen before. I don't know what the figurine has to do with it, other than the grandparents wanted to display all their ceramic pieces in the same place. I'm wondering where are the more traditional decorations are, something about celebrating family and giving thanks for instance. When I think of traditional Thanksgiving decorations, I think of a table set for a large family gathering, possibly with the people and the food all in place.

I have to agree with Designer, I'm not getting a "Thanksgiving" vibe from anything about the fireplace. Thanksgiving for us is a noisy gathering of family around a dining room table loaded with food, sitting around relaxing, or playing with the kids. It's about family not things, sorry but I don't believe Ps will help.

You maybe both right but I think the message is pumpkins and fireplace
for the young lady who took the picture.

Anyway, the challenge is in the PP you see fit to bring up the image.

I will post the one I made after some contributions. Wanna try? :)

Are you asking people to edit this image or post their own? What's the theme/goal - Thanksgiving decor? Editing? Mood?

Also, this is not your image, correct? Do you have permission to share this picture? It is against forum rules to post images to which you do not have copyrights.

Yes, yes, and yes! :)

Explained that I have full authorisation for this forum only in the OP.
