Opinions needed please

I'm not sure if I like this photo or not.
I was trying to capture how the light was coming through the trees.
Was creating some interesting shadows.
But i'm not sure if i like the composition, or lack thereof....
C&C please!!

The magic of scroll..... I found if you cropped it just above the log limb (removing the grey top) it made more impact. Turning it into a keeper for sure.

Not a very sharp image, i think would look better if it were more evenly focused.

Unfortunately the shadows are quite soft and the general illumination of the photo is quite flat ... so is hard to emphasize light through trees.

Was mid-day when you took the photo ??? The light looks quite defused...
