looking and reviews and samples and the low price... im really tempted to get one. anyone here used one?

Is that the one that has a door on top that will allow you to either throw 100% of the light forward or have 20-60% of the light bounced up?

If so, I have one and have used it a few times. While nothing will beat actually using off camera lighting, it is a decent alternative. The results are still not as nice as off camera lights, but it's better than using a full on flash.

I've got one, and while I don't use it all that often, it's a decent little tool to have when shooting with the flash on the camera. Best of all, it folds up nice and small for storage in your camera bag.

im getting it for a wedding im doing..... my first haha. for the event portion. not ceremony

Nice Kofman13, I think you'll really enjoy it! I use mine for a lot of indoor work when I need to move quickly, makes for much softer lighting but still gets good fill in the eyes (compared to straight ceiling bounce or the bounce card). I recommend it for weddings, seems like it would be a great solution!

When doing alot of running and gunning with your flash in the hotshoe, it is a much better alternative than bare flash. I prefer it over the Gary Dung dome thing that everyone has that just scatters the light around. The window up top allows for a certain control of bounce light vs fill light instead of just dropping a grenade of light a-la Gary Dung.

If you are indoors and setting for a quick portrait, always look to see if you can take it off and bounce the light, which can give more interesting shadows.

Oh, and look into getting their velcro strap to fasten it on. I think the thing ships with velcro tape you actually stick on your flash. Avoid stickign things on your flash as much as you can, as this will cause problems when trying to put on other accessories.
