What are your opinions on this photo, i am trying to get more into animal/wildlife photography.

Exposure looks good, but a bit too shallow DOF I think, looks like you've focused on the paw and the eye is soft.

The paw was definitely my focus point, i felt it told a better story. Is there any way to make the eye better?

Thanks for the input! If i could redo this or something like it what should i do to improve it? (Fyi: still learning basics of composition and stuff)

For anyone who was not there to suggest composition changes is nearly impossible. One thing I might have tried is to isolate the paw somehow so there's not so much fence included, or a lion in the background, either.
