Orange leaf C&C

Loving the different color leaves! Here's a pic of an orange leaf I took on a walk yesterday.

Really looking for some feedback on composition. Is it pleasing to your eye?

i think you need to find denser background. Perhaps use longer focal lens so the circles of confusion are bigger and it is easier to get denser background. You probably want to use larger aperture too.

The empty space on the bottom left is almost as big as the leaf which is supposed to be the subject. Maybe shooting it from a different angle to make a more interesting background with the blurred leaves would help?
