Hard to post these as I just seen a thread by @oldhippy .... Autumn Nocturne. He is over the top. However, in respect to his work, I will show my progress. He is truly inspirational.

Canon SX60HS point & shoot but I didn't use it as one. Manual mode, tripod, cord release....

They're well composed shots, well planned out, but man do I see chromatic abberation in the first one. Correct that and you've got a winner.

It's freaky how much that 2nd shot resembles a court jester albeit a very sad one!

Man, when do you have time for all this processing?

While I am a contrast freak, I find both of these a bit too harsh on the contrast. These are "flowers" after all. The Jester one is well titled. I'd dump the distracting stem and rotate it slightly clockwise to square it off. Did I mention the contrast ... yeah, I did, so don't forget the contrast.
