Ordered my D700

This is a great camera (imho) I spent a long time deciding about getting one and have never looked back.

As an aside, your black and white on my monitor doesn't look black and white, has a strong pink color, which some may call sepia. Perhaps you toned in in your pp .

Yes I did, I added just a but of split toning. I was just trying something different. :)

I have a d7000 would have gone with a 700 if my talent and budget yielded a true justification for the 700. If you weren't in Nashville I would say lets shoot some of the same scenes so you could see just how awesome your 700 is. Enjoy!!!!

Just a little nervous I've made the right decision... Since the D7000 is newer tech.

Do you even know what you're talking about? lol

Comparing a FX camera and a DX camera is like apples and oranges. And the fact that you questioned a D700 when you shoot landscapes further reinforces my previous question.

Most of your posts on this forum stem from knee jerk reactions where you believe you know more than anyone else.

thanks for taking the time to express your opinion. Ill take your statements into consideration. Have an awesome day!

What am I thinking even using a DSLR for landscapes. I should be using medium format. *grin*

Ok...I get it...you're all upset that you asked a silly question. No big deal, life goes on :)

No, I could easily explain why I asked the question but I'm replying via cell phone.

I won't argue with ya there! It is an awesome camera! It just surprised me to see someone questioning a D700 over a D7000. My bad if I came off crass. Happy Friday man!

Its not a question about the format.

Moreso I was questioning buying a FX camera that is near end of life when the newer DX model has close (not as good but close) low light performance for $1000 less... Especially with landscapes when the camera is on a tripod and longer exposures can compensate.

Shooting landscapes is exactly why you would want a FF camera! The larger sensor is reason enough to take the D700.

And thats why I ordered a D700.

So many rumors about that camera body. Either way, this will last me years.
